Metrolinx, the official agency of the Ontario Government is in charge of building the new subway line.
Is the new Pape subway part of the TTC?
Yes, it is part of the TTC system. Riders can connect at the Pape Subway Station and Pape and Danforth Avenues to ride on the other Subway trains across the GTA Greater Toronto Area.
Will the current Pape Subway Station on the East/West Bloor line at Pape and Danforth Avenue be removed?
No, the current Pape Subway Station will not be removed. It will be expanded to connect with the new North/South Pape Subway line.
Will using the new subway be free to use?
Riders age 13 and older pay to use the subway for each ride. Kids ages 0-12 ride for free.
Can anyone use the Subway?
Yes, anyone can use the Subway by paying a fare. Kids ages 0-12 ride for free.
